I figure you guys on here would be my best bet for finding a few things my collection is missing.

I really want a great version of:

Brokedown Palace
Help On the Way>Slipknot>Franklin's Tower (all together if it exists)
Comes a Time
& Cassidy

If anyone could help me that would be great. I kinda need a leader through all of the material on here.

BTW it may be blasphemy but i say these guys on may 1st in philly and the played a very very good shakedown!

5/9/77 is an All-Time Comes a Time. Top notch Help>Slip>Frank's and Cassidy are in there too.

I recommend the matrix.

7/17/76 is also an All-Time Comes a Time

Great, soaring jam in that one.

Both Hunter's Come's A Times are masterpieces, problaby more so than my suggestion. However I love the 10.3.76 second set monster jam of:
Playin' In The Band -> Drums -> The Wheel -> Jam -> Good Lovin' -> Jam -> Comes A Time -> Jam -> Dancin' In The Street -> Not Fade Away -> Dancin' In The Street Around & Around

The Comes a Time is very well sung/played and the Dancin' > NFA > Dancin' is outrageous.

5/9/77 is a beautiful Comes a Time

7/17/76 is THE COMES A TIME
its got the beauty of smoother 77 versions. It has much more passion, as far as Jerry's vocals go...and most importantly, it jumps into a 10 minute, or so, jam on the end of the formal song that acts as the opening bell for the best single set of real deal, turn on a dime, fly by the seat of your pants Grateful Dead 75-95.

10/15, 10/3, and 9/28/76 all have standout versions too. 12/10/71, 11/6/71... Of the 66 times it was played, there aren't even a handful that aren't special in their own right.

H>S>F - 10/1/76, 9/24/76, 6/27/76, 4/23/77, 5/22/77, 9/2/83, 6/24/76, 6/14/76, 10/12/83, 10/11/77

Don't get sucked in by all the love for 5/9 here either, though thats unfair b/c the 5/9 Comes a Time really is profoundly beautiful. The 5/9 Help is the standard fair 4 1/2 minutes. Well played, but really just the means by which the band setup the big boys to follow. 5/9 has a stellar slipknot! as well. Without question, a must hear for anyone getting their head around 20 years of the trio...as for the Franklin's...boring, uninterested playing abounding, Jerry lost in the lyrics, and where in later years getting lost in the words could be a precursor to explosive playing from Jer, here it seems to nag at him, or at least he is initially unfocused on what he's playing at the start of at least two of the, between verse, solos.

Here's a fantastic CASSIDY:

http://www.archive.org/details/gd83-10-12.sbd.harrell.8112.sbeok.shnf

I'd agree with Dire on the COMES A TIME but would also throw in 5/4/77...really beautiful version.

HELP>SLIP>FRANK you gotta go with 5/9/77, 6/9/77, and for FRANKLIN'S alone head on over to 4/23/77...crowd reaction alone is worth it!

It's probably my favorite Bob tune that they do w/Let it Grow a close second. That version from MSG has just an amazing second section jam!

Epic Brokedown.

You can hear the pain and agony Jerry accumulated through the years in every word.

Add the Days Between from this show, the finest version in the Archive IMO.
